Physical Education

All students in grades K - 8 are required to participate in the PE program. In order to be exempt from these classes, students must present a written statement, from their doctor or parent, to the classroom teacher and the PE instructor. The statement should describe the physical activity restrictions, and the length of time required for the restriction. Students who have been absent due to flu, colds, or any other illness will be exempt only if the parent sends a written note requesting such exemption.

Students must be in proper attire on scheduled PE days. Failure to comply with the regulation will affect the report card grade. A student’s PE grade will be based on participation and conduct. Students are not permitted to call home for forgotten PE clothes.
